Expedition 33: Content Strategy Case Study
The Origin of NOLiFE Back in 2025, I wanted a dedicated space to share my thoughts on games, art, and music. This led me to create NOLiFE, a platform where I could publish deep-dive articles once a week.
When "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" was announced, it immediately caught my attention. As an art student and game major, I was fascinated by how the game represents France’s legacy as the global capital of art. I wanted to channel my excitement into a series of articles that analyzed the game through the lenses of art, philosophy, and history.

Article 1: The Overview (100% Organic)
[Read here] The first piece was a high-level summary. I analyzed why this game is special, focusing on the contrast between life and death, and light and dark—themes that bridge the gap between art and science.

The Strategy: I launched this with zero budget to test the audience's natural reaction.
Results: It reached 2,234 people with 24 engagements. Although the numbers were modest, the positive feedback convinced me that there was a real interest in this topic.

Article 2: Art in Expedition 33 (The Deep Dive)
[Read here] This is my favorite topic. I put a lot of effort into breaking down the various art styles and their historical origins, showing how the they uses art and symbolism to represent 'theme' of the game.

The Strategy: I invested 100 THB into a boosted post, targeting ages 18-40 with an interest in art.
Results: This generated 5,193 views. About 53% came from ads, but the 143 engagements showed that organic interest remained strong. The fact that impressions were higher than reach suggests that the ad either retargeted the same interested users or people were seeing the post multiple times in their feed.

Article 3: Beauty in the Shadow of War (The Historical Context)
[Read here] The final piece explores the Belle Époque era. I explained why Paris was chosen as the setting and how the "Beautiful Era" eventually collided with the devastation of WWI. I also analyzed why the ending of the Verso trailer makes perfect sense within this historical context.

The Strategy: I spent another 100 THB but refined the target audience even further based on data from the previous posts.
Results: While impressions were slightly lower at 3,864, both reach (2,619) and engagement (153) actually increased. This proves that better targeting is more valuable than just high view counts.
So, this project was a great exercise in combining my creative passion with data-driven distribution. It shows that even with a tiny budget, you can find the right audience if your content is deep and well-researched. I highly recommend reading the full articles to get the complete picture!
